Dilligaf. I've been reading the posts with interest. I went to my one and only Dragon in 1976, bloody freezing, thick mud, but least it wasn't blowing a hooley. Glad you got back safely mate. I hope the rally badge was worth it .
You get a goodie bag when you get there A mars bar a snickers a little bottle of whisky or vodka and a couple of BADGES
I got 1 badge and 1 coaster, along with 70cl of Glenmorangie, Mars and snicker, prob because I peed off early ‘cause I might melt if it rained! Wind blew my mag tank bag off near the Marble Church at Bodelwyddan. In it is my TomTom and charging wire for phone. Ken.
Never gave a thought to retrieving it, didn’t even slow down, plus, nowhere to safely stop anyway, and, on top of that, traffic was pretty heavy. Ken.
See post higher No, didn’t even slow down, not safe to stop there. Ken. PS. I had previously tested the bag up to an indicated ton without it moving. So I think it must have been a combination of the bike speed and the weather wind speed and direction, because, the wind was coming right to left (Had to keep adjusting to stay in lane, riding with a lean on most of the time) but when the magnets lost interest, the bag took off into wind to the right.
And the clean up begins Feckin everything is covered in mud (I think) Kitchen sink while wor lass is at work Tooth brush to get the crap out of the zips It’s ok it’s not mine it’s the pink one so I think it’s the one wor lass uses....she’ll never know Having a coffee break before I start emptying the rest of my stuff
I went to the Dragon rally twice, the second time because I thought it can't be the same as the previous year with the snow, mud and freezing temperatures. I was right, it had all of the above and gale force winds.
