Good luck @dilligaf , might be an idea to get if the field to a services and stay safe while the storm blows through. Good luck to you, Trev, Dino and Sam
As outstanding as this adventure has been, the thing that I’m really impressed with is having mobile phone reception to post here at 5 in the morning in the middle of Welsh Wales in a sea of mud and the teeth of the worst storm seen in generations Dilligaf who is your mobile provider? I’m going to change to them, I can’t even get reception in my downstairs toilet
I’m sure all on here are waiting for the update from Graham. It’s been over four hours since we last heard from him when he was waiting to set off. I for one will be relieved when he’s back or at least stops for a rest and if he can post to let us know he’s ok. I bet there are a lot of people not taking their dogs out today let alone riding a fully loaded motorcycle a couple of hundred miles.
I dropped him a voice mail a couple of hours ago, not heard anything back yet. Really hoping all is well with him and everybody else trying to get home from the event....
Look here lads most know i love the guy and try to look after him and set him straight when i can. But this is Dilli the mental Makem who's a big soft sod but acts rock hard, he knew the weather forecast ahead of time, he knew the bike was officially not his anymore did it matter - not a jot - not a brain cell was used giving any thought to owt but building a landing pad and a feckin silly sticky thing to hold his control box's on his hand warmers and toe warmers what a DICK. Now were all sorry afterwards and learn from our experiences, Not him we all know he was the life and soul of the party last night and he's probably added considerably to the bar funds on top of drinking his own stash, . Now 90 mph winds and he's surprised his tent has blown down on a brighter note it did blow down on top of him thus keeping him safe and maybe warmer What the hell is he doing moaning like a lass to us NOW after the fun, Pull yourself together you big soft daft sod and as said find a services and sort ya sell oot, its nae good crying now - Christ your a Sunderland supporter you've done this so many times before, but life gans on. Get some place indoors to stay safe, dry and warm Dilli, (not a park bench) get home safe to your lass and tell her how brilliant it was and your definitely gan next year. Cos we all know you've learned NOWT. Ride safe my friend had I had your sense i may have been there to look after you but alas i'm far more wiser and sensible BE SAFE, BE SENSIBLE, BE ME (reverse psychology say nowt) Give us another message when your safe and sound or laid up warm for the night in a barn. look after yourself we all YOU .
Hope you get home unscathed Dilli, you were feckin mental going in the first place by the way , but that’s why we love you!
Sure next contact will be via a picture on here, (2/3pm ish ) Eating lunch with maybe a wee drink to boot
Just spoken to @dilligaf he is on the M62 heading towards Leeds. He is cold, wet and having a break for a coffee. He will update us all when he gets home....
good on you,the people who braved it to go to the dragon, you were not to know about the weather, wished i still had that enthusiasm in me instead of sitting here in my house, you might be out there cold and miserable but i still envy you.
Let's hope he decides to make it into a mini series . Should be good for at least 10 pages. Glad he's okay and still living the dream Tucker
