Put my now Tubeless spoked wheels, with new Pilot Activs, back on the T120 and took it for a quick spin and was suitably chuffed as I have only ridden it once before in sh**ty weather with it in Rain mode, but today could feel the torque a lot more,
Weather is good tomorrow so may take it to work in Chelmsford about 50mls round trip.

No problem, mate. Happy to help. And in the process I found out that apparently my present sprocket is 3 teeth larger than stock. Which would account for the involuntary wheelies! :D

Desmo Steve came over and helped me load the Speed Twin in the pickup. In the snow... He really earned his cigar in the garage afterwards. Heading for South Padre Island tomorrow, looking forward to getting away from this Kansas winter for a few days; doing a few hundred miles in the Rio Grande valley, watching the gulf waves and palm trees after the day's ride.

fitted new throttle cables as my old ones were sticking on the return (an MOT fail I have been told??) new cables do feel much better now.
not a 5 minute job though. I had to take RH fairing, Tank and air box off to get access : unamused:: unamused: still managed to give it a real good clean and polish .
still waiting for the salt to leave the roads and they put a fresh batch down this morning :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

Took my America for a 200klm round trip , to visit Eldest daughter and son in-law and their two girls.
Well the new ignition pick up coil is certainly doing a bonzer job ! Bike ran fault free and so much sweeter to ride , Northam to Bullsbrook via Julimar road , through Chittering valley , was great , nice and cool this morning and only low 30°c on return home , left home about 9:30 so was pleasantly surprised at cool.
Yesterday it was 45/47°c here in the Avon Valley (Northam) only reached 37°c so far ... :)

Hi there again! Well, i've found one in the uk and like you, +3 teeth extra (On the sprocket, not in the mouth!)
Sure, higher rpm, fuel and a slightly higher speedo reading but worth it for the wheelies that i'm rubbish at doing and the acceleration imo!

Excellent! Yep, fuel and rpm's are slightly up, and my speedometer is approximately 10% up compaired to gps. But great for looks and accelleration! Well done finding that mate!

Just got a set of front and rear SKF wheel bearings for the Speedmaster so I can now change them, not that they where worn but I like to know that I have quality ones fitted I have seen to many people with monkey metal bearings even on reputable makes.

Bedded in new discs and pads yesterday. Good sold deceleration with a two finger squeeze now. Another 20% lever pressure to nail the tyre to the tarmac!
Bled fresh fluid in there today, and lever pressure feels even better.
Nice to have the brakes that all the road tests talked about.
Looked into some creaking and clunking from the front end of the bike.
Found a lot of movement from the clocks and flyscreen.
Worn rubber grommets that have shrunk over the years.
Sliced up an old spare grommet to pack the gap out again, sitting nice and snug again now. Just need to do the same for the Headlight/clocks mounting bracket at the steering stem.

dealer phoned today to confirm my bonnie is fixed, they say it ran faultless for an 80 mile test ride they gave it, and I will probably pick it up Saturday or they will deliver it back to me Tuesday.

it ran for 140 miles last time before it conked out
