    Hi,
I’ve just purchased my first Triumph. A 2017 Street Twin.
I’ve now got a couple of months to give it some TLC before the sun comes out. The first thing I would really like some advice on is the Matt paint. I’ve noticed it’sa little bit shiny around the area where the ride comes into t with the tank (towards the seat).
Does anyone have any advice on cleaning and protecting the Matt finish?

    thanks for any support. Greg.

Hi, nice bike. Is the ride a part of the frame or shocks? I have a 2018 Street Twin and all of the frame is at least satin black, if not gloss. If it's the frame I wonder if the previous owner used a protective spray that's lead to the matt finish? I'd be tempted to use a kerosene rag to see if there is a coating. I do have a matt black strip around the top of the rear shock, but not knowledgeable about treating that, rattle can primer and paint would be my first thought.

Welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and shoe the inmates the steed. Here in the asylum we like pictures. Much easier to read.
    Regards & Ride Safe
    Joe.
