Going for a little blast on Sunday. Will be going down the A483 at least as far as Llandovery. Could stop at the biker caff at Crossgates on the way. Probably be a quick-ish ride (within the speed limits, of course) if anyone's interested...

I might have to sit this one out but I will come to the next one! My step-son had a big car accident in Belgium a couple of weeks ago and it looks like he will finally be coming home so I think its a family weekend for me.

He will be ok, quite a few broken bones but nothing long term we don't think which is good.

Anyway have you seen the weather for this weekend? Were on an amber warning for high wind and rain apparently!

Yeah! Firkin brilliant! My mate and me decided to try for this run this weekend when we checked the forecast on Tuesday. It's changed a bit since then - with (a lot of) luck it may change again! What is it with the forecast - the more technologically advanced the equipment gets for predicting the weather, the more inaccurate it seems to be. Bugger!

Just MUCH prefer the grip on dry roads (probably not an issue at sub-30mph?)

I generally like to fly around about 25 mph on my cruiser subject to weather conditions of course . However, i wouldnt even take my bike out unless we had had 3 consecutive days of sunshine.... Not worth the risk, imagine if it got wet??? Phew! Dont bear thinking about!

At those speeds if you hit a fly there's a 90% chance it will live, hit a fly at anything faster and its will make a mess of your nice clean bike.

Think safe guys flys have feelings too and there f**kers to clean off!!

I may 1 day come out for a slow ride.. Jut been round France and it was all a bit of a blur...
That and yes the flies do make a lot of mess... Took 3 hours and a lot of soaking to get them off bike, clothing and helmet....

    Brilliant!

OK, in Wales we sometimes get accused of being over-friendly with sheep, but flies? You're a sick man, SB!

How was France, by the way?

Suppose it will teach me to ride with my flies undone......

Not quite in your league on the mileage but 1300 miles over 4 days on 90% D roads... Only used motorways last day...
Some stunning roads and got to let rip on the Speed... Very happy with bike.. Its was however a bit rushed.
We had a great time and I'm looking forward to my trip end of June now... Happy days...
