Hi All, just got this 2001 tt600 a couple of weeks ago.
    [IMG][IMG]
it came with all the plastics, some with minor damage .
missing a bunch of parts mainly fuel/air side of things.
got lucky and snagged a small hoard of parts relatively local .
(airbox, clocks, exhaust, seat, lights, ecu, regulator, front end minus the wheel, swingarm, rear wheel, brakes front and back, switch gear and some other bits and pieces)all for $100.
still need a tank and its fuel pump etc,
both foot pegs and hangers .
    muffler/end can.
a lock set inc tank cap
i see the "speed four" share a lot of parts but the gas/petrol pump seems different as in the connections on the base plate ,if some one could educate me that would be great.
so i will be post pics and asking questions as i go.
    cheers mark

Usually there is more but it may well be it. Phone any good auto key manufacturer and they will soon have you sorted or take the ignition switch to them.
    Happy New Year.

Those things must be a bit a rare beast these days. I can't remember the last time I saw one.

MARK:'I have a bit of locksmithing background. Take the key or the lock and that number to a well equiped "automotive oriented" lockshop. The keyblank has to be matched up, and the number should tell the locksmith what the cut should be. Also, the local.Triumph dealer may be able to supply either the key or at least a blank key to cut a new one. I wish you success. ...J.D.

I CHECKED THE gearbox oil on a paddock stand and the PO had filled it to the brim when on the side stand.
i emptied 2 gallons out and replaced it with the standard 1 gallon .

well i thought i had got a great deal on a NIB OEM silencer.
but alas it was mis described and is for the 2003/2005 600/650 daytona.[IMG].
the return shipping is more than i want to pay so option 1 make a short strap/bracket and us it might need remapping but probably not.
option 2 shelve it and there is a scorpion aftermarket can for a reasonable price.on flea bay.
also i searched for footpegs and a right side hanger(mine is damaged) to no avail so will attempt to effect a weld/re machine repair.
fitted a generic left peg after making a couple of nylon bushings .
right side is welded ready for abuse on the mill.

#1 has orange with black stripe and plain orange wires.
#2 has thicker wires yellow with orange stripe and plain brown.
i think one goes to the air sensor under the airbox dont know what the other goes to maybe a code reader ?.

Yep, I have one of those too. Great bike to ride, though the gearbox is a bit pointless ratio wise. It seems to make no discernible difference if you are in 4th 5th or 6th they are so close together. Minor thing really though given how well it goes, handles and stops.

    hi All ,
well i got a tank and fuel pump assembly throttle position sensor and was able to give it a try starting .
no joy .. it will start and rev then die if i use some starter fluid .
but the best i can get without is sounds like its running on 2 cylinders and will not rev and will not idle.
i got this as a basket case so not suicidal
    any help is mucho appreciated.
    thanks mark

    Wow, they’re looking bad. o_O
You can get them ultrasonically cleaned, or soak them in some fuel for a little while and agitate them with a toothbrush or similar.

I would have thought any fuel injection specialist would be able to recondition them but it's not cheap work. If you can clean them out enough to get the bike running at all, you could run neat injector cleaner fluid through them which might clean them out. That has certainly worked on my diesel injectors in the past.
