Hello all. Grumpy old geezer from Scotland. Likes: old motorbikes. Dislikes: Old Etonians. Been riding since 1967, and never without a bike since. Currently riding a 1979 Guzzi V50 which I restored three years ago, and a 2019 Street Twin. Both brilliant bikes in their different ways. Looking forward to many happy miles on the Street Twin.

Hi Dave and welcome to the forum  Nice pair. I’ve had the pleasure of riding a V50, so understand the attraction.

Thanks to you all for your welcome, and for the kind comments on the Guzzi. The photo makes it look a bit newer than it does in reality: it has a bit more patina than appears from the photo, but nothing wrong with that, and it goes well. Always difficult to decide which to ride, but the Triumph has longer legs, so generally gets used for the longer runs.

Welcome to the family. Great intro and terrific photos. Love the Guzzi and the colour. My Brother in Law has the V50 he has rode it all over he just piles on the miles the like you restores it not as good as yours but it just keeps going.
    Regards & Ride Safe.
    Joe.

Thanks Joe. Looks like everyone knows about V50s, and everyone seems to like them. Light, tough, reliable, and with loads of character. Everybody should have one!

Kirkcudbrightshire? You might need to help a few on here with the pronunciation! I suggest you say Parton on Loch Ken. They know her.

    For non-Gallovidians, it's pronounced Kirk-coobry-shire. Simples.
