Hi May, just a little tip for you - it will be normal to introduce yourself from the perspective of motorcycling in general and Triumph in particular - on a Triumph forum.

I worked in centre Reading in the mid 80's and at that time it was just like a great big building site - lacking charm? You could say so.

Hi and welcome - as you can see this site is full of banter.
I used to live in Reading - was there in the mid 80's Dave. It still lacks charm!

Welcome May. What's yer bike? btw Auntie Google tells me you are active on lots of other sites too. Let me have your email address asap and I'll send you my bank details for that cheap surplus car before any other of the ne'er do wells here get in first. I trust you babe.

Like Ade's bloke at work I've been to the Reading Blues and Rock Festival a few times when younger. Best memory was rocking up in 1975, five-up in my old MOT-challenged Triumph Herald 1200, and witnessing the charms of Stacia dancing with Hawkwind not long before she retired to domestic life. They were touring Hall of the Mountain Grill, and pretty damn good too. Actually went to see Kursaal Flyers from Southend [IMG] cuz a mate's mate was in the band, and Richard and Linda Thompson (they didn't turn up). Pic above. I'm the chap without the long hair. As you can see all the girls had gone together to the powder room to freshen up.

Just be clear folks, May Horton has been spamming loads of motor vehicle sites over the past few days with the exactly the same cut 'n paste poor-grammar intro and never a reply to any welcomes. Google 'her' and the links take you to various private car hire web names each with the same address in Mortimer Common, Reading. Interested in Triumph motorcycles she ain't. Here she is from her profile at readability.com created 25-28th September. Very similar wording and similarly poor grammar. I imagine the irony is missed by the author. Sounds very spammy.

Possibly some psycho thing about wanting to belong, or some other $hite. Still, life would be dull if we were all normal I suppose

Well to be fair to May, despite her long experience in the hire car business, and living in Berks, she doesn't know where to find a private car hire company in the area, as you'll see from her latest thread. Poor gal. Be interesting to see where this particular scam leads. I'm intrigued.
