Hi all, thanks for the add. still have my 79’ z650 which I love, but definitely feels it’s age with modern pot holed roads. Use a Tiger 800 for longer journeys and trips in and out of London. Love the ride ability of the bike and the triple engine is a work of art. Just bought Thruxton TFC #561. Which is simply sublime. Thought I was to old to return to the foetal position on a bike, but I just love it, and it puts the biggest grin on my face. one quick question. Need to raise the bars a little bit, but the fairing gets in the way. Anyone done this, and how did you get over the fouling issue

I was a bit jammy with the Z. Local chap had it locked in his garage for years and never rode it. Just happened to be ridding past when he had his garage open and stopped to take a look. The rest is history. 79' plate, 12,000miles from new. never been bent and never been opened up.
Might look into that. Quite like the ride height, just wanted to sit up a little. Just booked tickets for the LeMans GP next year and am considering using the Thruxton for that. But a little concerned about the wrists.
