Well I have concluded that despite being a fanastic bike the speed twin is going to have to go. I've been talking to my local dealer and my new bike is being prepared. The question is what is my next bike to replace the speed twin?

I’m torn between Speedmaster or Scrambler 1200XC, poles apart in style and function

Knowing me I’ll probably buy neither after six months of considering, still, as the weather is shite the research will keep me occupied

Speedmaster is a great ride. IMHO no real use if you want to carry a pillion, but solo riding a great bike. The scrambler is to tall for me, but looks a lovely looking bike. Good luck with your search.
