Went to Newcastle Triumph today to put NUDGER up for adoption While I was there I took a look at the clothing section Been looking for some new leather trousers for a while now and spotted these but the label said £300 Feck that said I For that money I’d want something with an MOT I’ll let you have them for £125 says the salesman Just then my lift home turns up and off I goes Feck it I jumped in my super sexy Citroen C1 and went back to try them on Told the salesman that I’d seen another triumph shop online selling them for £99 and would he price match No I can’t do that he said I’ll buy a T shirt if you do I said Ok he said T shirt is £31 Got to the check out and he gives me a bit more discount Got these for £127.50 Label’s total £331....bargain And it’s not even Christmas yet

That seems like a very good deal @dilligaf. And I'm a bit envious. It's a skill I haven't attained. Shops & dealers let me walk out rather than cut me a deal, while our ex-daughter-in-law never pays full price for anything, ever - goods or services. It's a real art form with her, but she does work at it. With me it's: What deal can you do me on this jacket/bike/car etc? Nothing. It's full price. I'll walk. Sorry, I can't move on that price. Ok, I'm walking. Fuck off then... I go outside, send in a friend and wait... Got it half price! No way! HOW THE F...
If you don't ask, you don't get, TBH Mrs Billy is brilliant at getting either serious discount or if that don't work, then something else thrown in with the deal. When I bought a Sprint RS new many years back, she got a Carbon Race Can, Belly Pan & Grabrail thrown in, AFTER she had already beat them up for discount, I actually was in awe of her blatant cheek , the salesman convinced that she would make me walk away from the deal just caved in .

Agree - on both counts. My wife and I went to see Hal CRUTTENDEN, aka "CHUBSTER", recently and had front row tickets in a half full theatre venue. I had the piss ripped from me mercilessly all night but it was FUNNY ....... with a capital F! Enjoy the show DD!!
