Hi @Rocker many thanks for your kind offer & for taking time out to send pictures. But I have just had an offer accepted on a trailer locally. It really was very kind of you to offer, you are a gent. Thanks Billy
I realise now solved, but having been trailering bikes for many years, I thought I'd add my 2 cents. 4 wheels allow for greater load carrying capacity, but makes the trailer a bugger to try and manoeuvre by hand. So unless you have a serious weight carrying requirement, I'd go for just 2 wheels. Ifor Williams. They make a huge range of great trailers. They WILL have one to suit your requirements. They are far from cheap, but good quality, as evidenced by their relatively high second hand prices. People want them because they're good. One GREAT feature for hauling bikes is their combination rear doors. 2 van type sideways opening doors that can instead be lowered together as a full width ramp, up which you can easily load the bike(s). Wherever you go, you will always have the best possible access for whatever you want to move. I eventually saw the light and got a nice used one at reasonable cost and that rear door is a godsend. Never forget the ramp again. I added aluminium slide rails along both sides so I can strap down anything, anywhere. It is a brilliant trailer - and no it's not for sale. Did I say how great their combination rear door is.
Hi Mate, In the end I got a cheeky bid accepted on the very trailer pictured at the beginning of this thread, I think the guy was desperate to get it off his drive & it had been for sale for 3 weeks. It is very much better than the one I used last year, can carry more weight & is braked, the added bonus is that it has a full width ramp so much easier loading.
