Specials of this sort are, more often than not, a highly personalised view of how a modern "take" on an older theme might look. I get that - 100%. And this particular one is stunningly beautiful in every possible way and is a huge credit to you. I do hope you don't think that my remark about the mega was meant in any way to be critical of you, the bike or the build. It wasn't. I guess the remark was prompted more by a musing on how I'd, personally, execute a build like this - if I had the time, money, ability .... and balls!

Bought another V-Strom and had it out for it's first run. 65 miles round the Scottish Borders. I can confirm the screen on this is every bit as crap as they were on my previous 2 V-Stroms o_O

Out and about on the old Honda CB700 nipped over the border into North Wales and onto Shropshire.
Got caught in a heavy rain for a few miles on the way home but what do you expect it’s GB :).

Stopped at Bangor-is-y-Coed where there’s a 5arch Sandstone Bridge spanning the River Dee.
The bridge in current design was built in 1658 and is grade1 listed and has eight triangular shelters for foot traffic.

I had to do an emergency dash to the north lakes to pick up my darling wife’s hot water bottle (long story) So I had a pleasant 3 hours covering 110 miles hitting some of the scratchiest roads in Cumbria. No pics of the late sun hitting the high fells, but it’s there in my mind

Not a Triumph or a bike, but what I’ve done this Saturday. Cross rotated tires and reapplied antitrust treatment to the undercarriage and frame of my 2000 Jeep. It’s 20 years old and due to plenty of preventative maintenance has zero rust even inside the frame, and stands to do another twenty years. I sure as hell won’t be spending 50k on a new one.

After my daughter's boyfriend ran into the back of my car, and a few rust bubbles under the paint, got the two rear quarters, tailgate and bumper painted on the ST. Very pleased with the results, got replacement graphics and badges ordered and a new set of plates.

My daughter wants me to go lime green on the alloys, tempted! :p

I've just - well, yesterday - had some heated grips fitted to my 9T. They cost a bloody fortune and are nowhere near as effective as the triumph ones that I've had in the past, so the bike will be going back in so that they can be checked and, if necessary, replaced.

Very, very annoying as I'm spending 4 days a week up north at the moment so have precious little time when I'm down in London.

I’ve got the factory fit ones on my 9T and have to admit they’re not that good really. Only 2 levels and not that hot.
The ones on Mrs Freck’s VFR are much better; 5 heat levels and they are really toasty
