Rear stock dimension 160/60-17 seems slightly wider in s21 than the pirelli diablo rosso 3 that came with the bike from factory.

It is already tight clearance between chain and tire with the diablo rosso, so with the bridgestone s21 the chain rubs the tire.

Thanks for any tip of other tires tried and fit well in stock 160/60-17

    Hi, Yenso.
Avon tyres seem to be a favourite herein for Bonneville derivatives.

Thank you Steve! I will remember that when getting a new one

Also just wanted to give anyone else a heads up on the bridgestone s21 just in case. Could be just a one spesific batch though, but had same issue with two different batches

Not personally, but assume my local Triumph dealer did when I came back first time with quite a significant part of tire cut off by the chain. They measured the width if the tire and it was wider clearly a bit wider than diablo rosso on the edge profile. Will ask them though when returning for new tire. Thanks!

The profile of the Pirellis is far more curved than other tyres as they are designed to make the bike steer quicker and tend to be on the narrow side, almost all other manufactures have flatter/wider tyres.

Thanks for the info on the tyres. I will certainly watch out for this when my speed twin needs tyres..
