I have 2003 America that I am rebuilding after it was stolen recovered and crashed, just hope the little shit who stole it didn't get too badly hurt... I ride a chopper (pictured) most days and have only had one big spank in 50 years of riding bikes (I'm 62) so I reckon you have had your big one and you won't have another for 50 years... By the way, if you have the clips that hold the headlight in, and a few other bits, I would be grateful if you could save them for me? I'm in London but can collect or maybe you could post them to me?
I bought one of those and after 1K miles found it way underpowered for my liking. Available power is subjective I suppose. Speed Twin would be my choice, but, they were too expensive. Regards,Ken.

Wishbone. Just caught up with this thread. Glad you feel better and are biking again. Do go out there and get the bike you feel happy with. Remember winter coming Brexit the stealers are feeling the pinch so be prepared to haggle like mad or walk away to the next stealer. They all want your money to keep their heads above water till all the rubbish going on now desists. Just glad you are better. I am 62 now and will give up the day they hammer the last nail into my box. And had a few spills in my time broken bits gash's splits crushed spine every time just wanted to get back on a bike. Yes, I and friends have been riding it on the road for 20+ years, it is light (1954 BSA A7 plunger frame, now hardtailed), Triumph gearbox, home made belt drive primary, BSA M20 girder forks). Run the back tyre at 12-15 psi and who needs rear suspension...!
Theres some old hippy fella in the Northeast who's getting the brand new Rocket 3 (must have a small penis) recon he's got a modern Speedmaster for sale, all the mod cons, even got a tow bar and of course in the fastest colour

Im planning my bikes for when I retire in a couple of years at 60. Im hoping not to be giving up at 63! Reflexes will be fine or just go a bit slower if you feel that they are not. Glad that you are ok. Its bound to knock your confidence a bit but you will soon be feeling that you need to get back on the bike! Good luck and hope you have a quick recovery
Confidence is good, been commuting on the A13/A130 & A12 for last 2-3 weeks on the CBF have even been just over the speed limit once or twice But it does have the all important confidence builder----ABS!!
