    I have two bikes...

    Thunderbird LT for touring
    and
Speed Twin for fun rides out.

I love them both, but I'm finding the weight of the t'bird more of a problem as I get older. Been considering swapping the t'bird for something lighter for touring, but can't make my mind up on what? I have a 29" inside leg, so the big adventure bikes are out of reach for me. I'm still looking.....

Have you thought about the new bobber with steel or fiberglass repro paniers painted to match :)

Unfortunately it does not allow for a pillion, so sadly no good for me..

Have you tried the Speedmaster 1200 @Wessa, it was my choice after Storm and Commander were to much load on my “football” ankles.
Loads up well and I’m 110kg/240lb

Yep had one in the garage alongside the LT. Sold it for the speed twin in May this year. To be honest if I did not carry a pillion I would have another, but the pillion seat on the speedmaster is better than useless. Cracking bike though.
