Had a few spare hours on Saturday, so set off into the dull, grey miserable weather and headed for Gillingham - the one in Dorset and the slightly random Moto Corsa emporium. A motor cycle dealership selling MV Agusta, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, Brough Superior and Royal Enfield! Next to or part of the old brewery, they have decked out the inside pretty well - a bit like a classic Italian house with gallery around at first floor level (where the accessories shop is). You can park in the car park at the back and access the cafe through the garden, or park out the front and wander through the showrooms to the cafe. Not many of these around - only five apparently. Yours for only £22,999.00 with only 150 miles on the clock.
That Hesketh at >£23k is better than money in the bank But that meal, is it a southerners breakfast ain’t worth turning out for
I know, better value than the £52999 they wanted for the second hand Brough next to it. That was the small version of their breakfast - there was a double quantity one but I'm on a diet!
I would have thought that depends on model/year/condition and originality etc when you look at the one in the Bonhams auction at the forthcoming Stafford Classic Bike Show. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25384/lot/316/
Lovely bikes! It would be difficult for me to spend that kind of cask on a bike like that though. I’d want to run the wheels off it!
I like that shop Steve! The place where I got my /5 is an ex fireplace-store. So they have many different rooms on two floors with 2-3 bikes, fur-coated seats and a fireplace in it. Very cozy I remember the Hesketh from its‘ heydays. Very expensive. Was it any good, or as troublesome as the new Horex?
Moto Corsa is a great place. I came upon it by accident on a trip to the SW. Some fantastic bikes that you don't get to see very often. They had some classic Jap bikes from the 70's&80's for sale, alongside the exotica including modern Broughs. Great atmosphere and no hassle from salesmen. The Hesketh V1000 was released to mixed reviews in the early 80's but reliability problems gave it a pretty short life. They're still making them though (not the same model obviously) somewhere in Surrey. The originals are usually displayed at the Stafford show.

Our firm did a lot of work at Moto Corsa, just as they came into existence in Gillingham, they started on a small trading estate in Ashmore, not far from Compton Abbas airfield if anyone knows of that, I visited there (Moto Corsa) for their end of season hog roast and prize raffle a couple of weeks ago on my way home from a blat on the Speedy
