Hello all again, this my new to me bike which arrives to me on Wednesday, the salesman told me that the rear shocks have been upgraded. Is he correct ??? I don't know.
Malcolm Woods. Cracking bike and you are really rocking there. Rack screen shocks great seat centre stand dresser bars chainguard. You will be lost for things to spend more money on. Ride Safe & Enjoy. Joe.
Great looking bike - similar to my old T100. Definitely not standard shocks - saves you changing them!
The rear shocks look like progressive ones as the coils get tighter to the top and definitely a Thruccy seat which I find pretty comfortable against the standard bonny ones to be honest lovely looking bike you have there
A question for you if I may: I have the standard shocks on my Scrambler, which is now 13 years old and I have owned it from new. I have been very happy with the bike throughout, the only time the rear suspension has been found wanting has been on a recent trip to N Yorkshire where it was unable to keep up with events on the rough moors roads. Would a set of TEC rear shocks improve the bike in this respect? Alan
I have the most basic Tec shocks on my T100. They were a worthwhile improvement over the standard items with rather better damping.
Thank you - that is really helpful. I am also considering the most basic shocks from TEC; at just under £100/pair they seem very good value (these ones): https://www.tecbikeparts.com/produc...ustable-length/?attribute_pa_colour=all-black It is really useful to know they would lead to a worthwhile improvement.
Some of the older TEC rear shocks (the ones with the separate gas canister) were very leaky, quite a few of us (myself included) had some trouble with them. I ended up throwing mine to the rubbish. These seem a different model altogether (if indeed they are TEC), so I'd rather not pass comment on them.
