New to Triumph, but have ridden UJM's since the 70s. After a hiatus in ownership, now have a 2018 Bonneville T120, which matches the look of the 1970s bikes I owned and my son now restores. Starting the improvement process and found this forum in search of engine mounting bolt torques. Took two very fine motorcycle training courses last month to supplement my previous training and experience. I think the light weight and wonderful power of my T120 are going to be great! best regards, Jim
Welcome aboard Jim, hope you'll enjoy the forum, a picture of your steed would be welcomed by many on this site
Jim Davies Welcome to the family. I did think you had joined earlier. But just wondered did you know any good jokes for the inmates here in the asylum. And some pictures of the steed would go down a treat. Give nursey a restful night. Regards & Ride Safe Joe.
Hi Jim and welcome to the forum I thought I wouldn’t like the new bikes, but love the 1200. Wishing you well with your T120 and helping your boy. Looking forward to seeing your ride
Photos attached! I had the dealer install a Triumph windshield and Givi Dolomiti saddlebags, and I added an air seat. Planned improvements include: -- Givi TN6410 engine guards -- Denali SoundBomb mini horn -- Front visibility lights, either Kuryakyn or Denali. -- Ram mount for smart phone. Would love to hear recommendations for visibility lights, front and rear, as well as other improvements you've made. There's a cross-USA trip planned for 2020 ... best, Jim
Jim Davies. Beautiful machine. Thanks for sharing. Only thing I would say is on my 865 I fitted a Denali sound mini. Went for a spin and the stupid thing hit my front guard and smashed it. Just could not find another location for it. Ride Safe & enjoy. Joe.
Thanks, Joe! The new horn won't fit where the OEM lives, so I've made a jumper for the electrical connections and hope to mount it on the engine guards. Testing ... 1-2-3 ... testing!
Jim Davies Yes I have the stupid triumph engine dressers and without drilling a hole in them I could not get it to fit. Regards Joe.
