Christ mate, if that was the case nobody in our paddock would ever finish a race! Generally if someone is hospitalised due to a crash then it's all very subdued, anyone else gets absolutely hammered with the piss taking, my own team mate called me a donkey on the FPR FB page with a picture of me eating dirt at the round you came to at Donington! Trouble is with racing is there is always someone with a gert great telephoto lens waiting for you to bin it, so there is no hiding from it! So take, your rabbits feet, four leaf clover & ya gremlin bells and stick 'em where the sun don't shine, ya bloody Gypsy you!
Thanks Ron, I think I follow you, and I will attempt to translate for the benifit of the forum members that don't speak American! " DAMN!!!! That there is called a biotch slap." - In English - that's a jolly good put down Billy "He said stick em in your wallet........cause we know you don't open that...." - In English - Stick them up your arse!
Saw that I my news feed earlier , how on earth he got away from that 'uninjured' baffles me , the bonus of being young & fit I guess , I had the merest little trip over the handlebars at Donington in May, still bloody hurts now!
Those guys are truly something else, my lad showed me the video clip of the crash earlier and the rear wheel was ripped out, Marquez on the side of the track talking to the marshals, maybe your good lady should introduce candle lit massages to sooth your sore bits Bill
Ouch, I believe it was BSB practice at Brands, my lad sent me the pic, he said sparks I thought gravel.
https://www-crash-net.cdn.ampprojec.../1/petrucci-what-marquez-did-was-unbelievable Almost as close for Marquez, 70 degrees lean and he saved it, ok he took to the grass but he stayed upright. Kin amazing.
Funnily enough I've just watched that on YouTube after my lad told me about it earlier, he saved it with his knee basically, kin amazing indeed.
I reckon they are able to (allegedly) offer 20 million to keep him for two years cos he's saved em a fortune in not smashing lots of carbon fibre. He's rewritten the laws of physics on that Honda.
God that looks awkward now compared with the modern way but I did like Mick's style and like all good riders he evolved his riding over the seasons, coming back from horrific injuries to be the best.
Bill, this Moto2 Triumph engined bike is for sale at the end of the season if you fancy it, comes with a stack of spare and a snip at 69k dollars
