Had a lovely wee run up to Braemar today, as it was the Braemar Highland Games yesterday the village was still quite busy, lots of bikes on the road today.

On the road up through Glenshee

Glenshee ski Centre (over the top there are 3 other valleys to Ski, plus the other runs on the other side of the road making it the biggest ski resort in the UK)

That looks the same bike as my mates, note the totally illegal helmet he wears, I'm always telling him to exchange it for a legal one.

A lot of you already know I have a Rocket trike, and legally I don't have to wear a helmet, but sitting on something that will do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds I choose to wear a full face Nolan N87, my mates always take the piss out of me, but do you think I'm being too safety conscious or just being sensible, or is my mate with the plastic helmet a daft cnut.

The Fosse Riders had a ride to Lands End to celebrate 60 years of the club and recreate a photo from years ago. We got six bikes around the signpost with the rest as close as we could. We rode from the Leicester area on Saturday to overnight B&B's around Hayle and went to LE after breakfast for the photo.
I covered just over 700 miles over the weekend on the 1993 Trophy.
Today's average 54 mph overall and taking out fuel and snack time 64 mph actual travelling.
There will be photos when we get the official ones.

My vote goes with "just being sensible", David! I've often wondered why folks wear a helmet at all if the one they are wearing is illegal or, especially, when it's not even protective.

Love that trike. Firstly, no not being too safety conscious. Good on you, you've only got one head! (Well... not entirely true). Secondly, who builds trikes like that? It's amazing!

Yesterday morning me and the Mrs had a run across to Aberfeldy,we were going to head further west but the clouds were really black looking so had some lunch and headed for home where the sky was blue, got home and noticed a txt from a mate wondering if i fancied a bike run in the afternoon,we stopped off at The Harbour Cafe in St Andrews, 2 lattes and 2 large slices of millionares shortbread for a fiver:cool: anywhere else in St Andrews and you would be 2-3 times the price

That's what I like, Dougie! A guy who can do a run in the morning then turn right around and head back out in the afternoon. Why not, eh? ;) And what a delightful little "cafe". What is millionaires shortbread? Sounds decadent! :)

Out on me Yammerrah... just to work and back... seems to be the only free time I get! At least it’s 25 miles away, so always chance of a blast!
