Well, that was a happening to me at an early July sunday morning - spend 2 days at a friend at Lake of Konstanz on the way to Garda lake.
Took the Bonnie out on the road, after some 400m I realized having a sh.. day.
After the usual visits to all tyre dealers (closed, of course), I wrote a short mail to the next Triumph dealer, some 80km away. After few sunday hours response came in "yes, we have that tyre size and can help you".
Monday morning with a little more than a little help of my friend we fetched the 4 tyre dealers responses such as "not on stock/busy" etc, so with a borrowed trailer Bonnie was at the Triumph dealer's lift at around 13h.
    Lunch break.
I did the same - walking back a sandwich later I looked already at my own headlight towards to me on the street - test drive.
Costs for the new tyre (Pirelli Scorpion Trial 2) and mounting etc: 157,41€
My start this day direction Lago di Garda: 16h
    Arrival after 500km: midnight.
    Lost holiday: 1 day
Support of my friend - a friend!: priceless.
The dealer I can recommend for best-ever service:

I have found the Rema figure of eight shaped plugs are good for big (4 mm +)
holes but for smaller holes they need a lot of reaming out of the hole to get them in, for smaller pin holes the "sticky string" type is easier to get in and just as good.
I came back from Morocco with a hole plugged with these and ran the same rear tyre until it wore out.
I have some of the "sparklet" cylinders but have heard some people found that they we not big enough to fully inflate so I carry a 12 volt pump, it takes a fair while but eventually gets there.

I was lucky, as when I used the plug there was a guy having a brew in his car, and he had a foot pump. But I had heard similar about the gas canisters.

How big is the pump you carry? I guess you'll have panniers though... I really need to find either a set of panniers, or a rear rack, but as usual it's all down to finances.

I have a Stop n Go kit with the mushrooms and a gun to put it in.
But: when my tyres were2 weeks and about a thousand miles old, I went out with friends for a Sunday run. On the second half of a lap round a roundabout (mate has directional issues!!!) my rear tyre decided to stop being round. The kit lives in the topbox that I use for work and bogging off away far away :worried:. My last bike had enough room for this, waterproofs, tools,4 bottles of beer and some lunch under the seat! The Speed Triple has room for the f**king battery!!!

Transmission is an "Action" example The transmission of a virus or disease ! A gearbox is the device through which power is "Transmitted" from one location enabling a variation in speed or power ! It enables torque or speed selection ! Another example your leg transmits the power of the muscles in it to enable you to walk or run - speed or torque. It isn't a "transmission". Transmission is an action !!!

    There are three main reasons.

-- Mr. Webster, who simplified the spelling of words such as "colour" (color) and "traveller" (traveler) when he compiled his dictionary
-- American English began to diverge from British English several hundred years ago, so the American language often uses the word or spelling (e.g. fall for autumn, "z" in words such as recogniZe) that was once customary in British English, whereas British English has changed
-- new words created since the Declaration of Independence, e.g. aluminum/aluminium.

"Nucular" (nuclear), however, is just wrong!
