Actually, no. I live just artside Sheffield, in Derbyshire. We are the border, and the last bastion o Derbyshire. I work int middle o dee daa land tho!!
Footnote for the uneducated, a dee daa, is what people from outta Sheffield, call Sheffielders. It's the do wi how they talk.

Pollis cars had bells on when I were a kid. No, not really, but dad drove those in the start of his bogey career. We lived in Stalybridge for a while, I mind walking home from school and heard sirens.. There's a jam butty chasing a car... Big wide avenue, tree lined. A car pulls out between the crooks and the rozzers, and the jam butty takes avoiding action. Between two trees.. A cross the grass verge, then between the next two trees, back on the tarmac, and carries on. Awesome to see as a kid... Dad comes home at haf six, says to mother 'I nearly got took out by two trees today......'. Serious hero worship. Should add, after 25 years they wanted to give him a good conduct medal, but they had to wipe his sheet clean first. He got seriously sideways transferred to Stalybridge..(. 'Penal battalion' ) for attempting to do the chief Constable at the time for drink driving.... Amongst other 'misedemeanours'
I've not looked at it... And if I did, I don't do politics, or religion either. Question is, has anybody broken Godwins law yet in said thread? (Godwins law says that in any Internet forum argument, at some point somebody will accuse somebody else of being like Hitler)
