Vulpes. I don't think Nursey is medicating me strong enough. The better Half says she can't believe it My banker says get another job. But thanks Regards Joe
Duckadiledundee. Thanks Mate. Most say eccentric or mental. I believe it was afflicted by my Dad. He had a showroom back at home. I just got addicted. Regards Joe.
Duckadiledundee. With all the wishes and good luck support I have got here today might have a go at the lottery this weekend and hope it lasts. Regards Joe
Peeps just got back from a spin out on this little rocket ship. Thought nice day I will pottle around the country roads between Burnham Beaconsfield and Wycombe. Someone should have told me this bike was not for country lanes. It is phenominal twitch that throttle and it just goes into rocket mode. But I loved it sure will take a little practice between that and the hornet I had. Regards Joe.
Worry not Joe, the Streety is easy to ride nice and steady if that's what you want, easier to ride like a hooligan though!
Bad Billy. Idid think you would catch me out when I had the peeps guessing. Haven't caught lately on your racing so I must have a read to see how you are getting on. I am also happy my boy is not competing for the foreseeable future. Alought it still worries me as he has three Daytona's now. Regards Joe.
Bad Billy. Yes it handles really well and is so flickable for even me. But I will leave the hooligan bit to you young ones. I like doddery old fart. Regards Joe.
I wasn't going to spoil your fun now was I Joe, wanted to see how @dilligaf dealt with a bit of his own medicine. As far as racing goes mate, still wobbling around at the back , but I enjoy it, it's fun and that is what counts .
Yes they do handle very well, I'll bet more than a little of the hooligan within comes out to play once you're used to it mate.
Bad Billy. Yes I have to agree with you. Well as long as its others not my boy. Maybe I just try to hard to be protective. Especially as I know he and probably could ride rings arounds me. Regards Joe.
Joe. You will very quickly (in every respect!) find that the Street Triple is almost the 'proletarian of motorcycles'. Want to bimble along at 30 or 40 miles per hour? Sure, just squeeze the throttle nice and gently and short shift up to fifth. Want to go quickly on some smooth A roads? Sure, just leave it in 4th. and ease on and off. Want to rip some tarmac taking off from the traffic lights ..... WHOA! Be very careful with that throttle - it is a licence eater when used like the microswitch it can sometimes seem! Your ST is the same colour as my wife's - mine's Tornado Red and so is automatically much faster - but yours has the Arrows so it will sound like a heavenly chorus when opened up. By the way, if you ever decide to sell the bike and would like to get rid of the Arrows, do let me know - I've got a couple of sets of standard cans and would pay a good price for a set of Arrows for SWMBO's bike. I've got a set on mine and I was astonished how much difference they made to throttle response. I think you will love that bike. Much as I love all my other bikes, I do tend to gravitate towards the Street without even realising it most of the time - it is that easy to manhandle, to ride and to enjoy. I hope you feel the same about yours once you've truly bonded! Be safe.
