I can totally understand why you would announce your departure. After spending so much time and meeting and greeting so many members on here it would be unusual to just disappear and have members concerned. To delete your input seems to me, a way to stop yourself being tempted to double back?
Well, I've almost thrown mine across the room a few times. I resist the urge. The results are too expensive. ...J.D.
Smashing it to smithereens with a sledgehammer is far more satisfying. I killed mine that way, after a particularly stressful day. Had all my work on it too.... I stayed clear of technology for a while after, and in all honesty was the better for it. Avoided all forums and such temptation for nearly 18 months. And here I am. Pass the bottle.
Just seen this thread, sorry to see him go, he seemed a decent chap. He offered to check my Speed Triple with his Tune ecu thingy, and I was gonna take him up on it. Bum!!
That Big Brother could be watching makes me always mindful of what to post publicly on here and Facebook, so stating a certain point of view on matters that could upset your boss or future employer is always a risk... I think a lot of people have deleted their stuff to keep safer
Sandi T Thought I would show this little machine I picked up to day. I want to be like you. But won't be buying another tractor just yet. Regards Joe
Congratulations, Joe! She's a beauty. What's the story?? Who needs a tractor when you have this sweet ride?!
Well...I pulled the plug on the work detail almost 11 years. No.real.reason.to care much what anybody thinks at this point in time. I'm too old for anybody to hire me for anything. Awwww. That is.toooo.bad. ...J.D.

Nope! MY team mate is from Rotherham, ain't got a clue what he's banging on about half the time either
I visited a mate in Yorkshire once. He took me to the pub (on a tractor, so they couldn't take away his license on the return trip ) to meet his mates. He had to translate for me all evening...
Visited Aberdeen once and was taken out for a drink to a street with loads of bars. Having a posh poncey southern accent, and not having a broken nose, cauliflower ears or missing teeth, I elected not to say a word all evening hoping that it would remain that way...
When we were on the Scottish road trip this year @andypandy said he usually learns a new Scottish word when he comes up,i gave him a phrase they use in Dundee..."Geez twa pehs, ain plen bridie an a ingin ain ana" If your'e from Scotland you will know what it means
