Afternoon all, Bit bored waiting for 5pm so I can go home so thought I would enquire what everyone is up to this weekend, tell me to bugger off if I'm being nosey though!! Is my weekend off work so I have a whole two days to do whatever I want, well saying that I am going to cricket on Sunday with my dad to watch Lancashire, so I think Saturday is going to be the day I go out on the bike for a really decent ride, had plenty of short journeys since buying the bike but nothing substantial so looking forward to just getting out and riding for a day and not having anywhere in particular to go to. Anyone got a more thrilling weekend than that planned? Tony
Just back from Wales, great trip, Rufforth Autojumble near York fer me tomorrow I think. Be in car so I can carry lots junk home.
Epping forest cafe's pretty good, and there's a fair few decent rides around there too.......bloody busy if the weather's nice though. Good for bike spotting. I'll be spending the weekend trying to speed time up a bit until 1st September.....
going to look for a new goretex jacket, as it never stops raining here, and hoping to get to the Ulster Grand Prix next weekend,
Taking my speed for a service and MOT at destination triumph in Bramley got a loan bike from them not sure what it's going to be ,then off to boot camp
I'll be riding 'the beast' down to Padstow, meeting the wife and kids down there (not sure how I got her to agree to that, but I did!), I think I may get lost a few times on the way down It will be the longest ride I've ever undertaken, it will definitely be a lot of fun! Going to be spending 10 days down there, hopefully i'll get out on the bike a little while I'm there.
MOT number 17 (if I counted correctly!) for my 'old faithful' Trident 900 of 1995 vintage tomorrow. I will soon have had it for 20 years! Still can't come up with a good enough reason to sell it - and I do have a reasonably fertile imagination! I did enjoy having an '02 Daytona 955i CE alongside it though ... until I had to sell it!
Oddly enough I'll be working on a song inspired by a phrase used in another thread Then I'll be going to the pub Stay cool chaps
Bit of excitement in our house this weekend. My wife traded her Street Triple of a Tiger 800 yesterday so we've got a weekend of getting to know it. Plenty of mileage with a bit of luck. Got a 4 day weekend as well
Well I hope you all enjoy yourselves out on your bikes - I'll be waiting for a delivery of a new inner tube. Picked up a plasterboard screw yesterday. I could just fix the tube but tbh I think it's getting a bit old. Probably won't come for weeks
Wife working, so might put a few miles on my Enfield clubman, Iv part ex,d it for a bonnie which im getting next week. shame I cant afford to keep both ....
I'm off to a barbie this afternoon , but tomorrow I was hoping to go for a rideout somewhere , don't know where yet though . Next week I was going to go over to Ireland to the Ulster gp but I'm a bit tight for spare cash & am currently talking myself out of going . I want to go to the Bulldog bash next weekend as well , but definately can't do both
New MOT duly acquired (it is number 18 so it would seem, after a recount!) this afternoon, followed by a celebratory ride dodging the showers ... but not where they had been! Bike now needs a bloody good wash!
Picked up my speed after a service and MOT from destination triumph (see other post)I went out in the sunshine for a fantastic 150 mile ride the bike has never felt so good
