Hey to all. Matt from Nc by way of Dc. Well I have been riding since 1984 and stopped street riding in 2009 after a major crash. She told me this weekend to get another street bike or a divorce so I decided or a Thruxton R today and have to say I wish i shouldn't have waited so long to get one. Love the bike and now she wants one. So thought I would join up and jump in to the community some.
Rock on dude, get on and enjoy. Best money I ever spent was for additional instruction with a pro. Get the suspension sag set up and ride with total confidence.
Matt.Funkyfab Well where did you find her. She deserves that bike. I know I have a partner who supports my habit. But they are hard to find. Do drop us a picture of your new steed and the Wife's when she gets it. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe.
Welcome to a terrific forum, Matt, and a great community. What I've typically heard from men who want a bike but don't have one is something along the lines of "My wife won't let me". As @Duckadiledundee said, you're a lucky man!! Glad to hear you got a Thruxton R. I had one and they are wonderful bikes. Traded mine last November for a Speed Triple RS. The Thruxton will certainly be a better choice for two-up riding. But, hey, sounds like your wife may be riding her own bike soon. Welcome!!
Sandi T / Matt.Funkyfab Yes you get used to all the tales of woe. Glad I have a great girl here aswel Tracy always says why don't you go for a trip with your mates and accepts that bikes are part of who I am. I do accept she worries so try to tell her I have arrived and on my way home or she is listening at the window for the bike. Regards Joe.
Bikerman Well at least she didn't get her way. You want to find her now and tell her you sold them. Regards Joe.
Welcome to the loony bin. Hey, I clicked on the location pin in your profile. Takes me to a Chiropractor near Charlottesville. Appropriate if you are gonna ride a Thruxton.......
