34/38 for spirited riding in the warm

TBH standard pressure covers pillion and luggage so you can afford to lower a little unless you weigh 20 stone ...

I'd agree with Helmut Visor if you're riding solo & weather is warm, always check pressures cold.
FYI - I run Super Corsa's on race bike, SC1 Front, SC2 Rear at 30/26 (Pirelli recommended) measured cold.

hello rs reggie I live in Derbyshire so there is quite a lot of nice roads lots of twisty back roads to fly about on and some nice long sweepers I weigh 10.5 stone, in your experience would you say 34/38 would do as I spoke to Parelli uk and they said 40 psi back and 35 psi front I still think 40 psi in the back is quite a lot I am running the supercorsa sa diablos
    thanks in advance
    Rob

Hi Rob I am not an expert. Make your own choice based on what you read on here and elsewhere. I can only say what I personally feel happy with . The greater loading of pillions heavy rider etc do require the higher pressures I think a lower load allows a lower pressure. Also of course if you ride hard and get the tires warm the pressure will increase do allowing a lower staring pressure (like on a track day for example). So that's a factor to consider. Maybe pirelli should give the warm pressure to go by. In the end a few psi difference isn't going to throw you off. It's what you feel comfortable with and also you can look at the tire to check it's wearing nicely .

What year bike do you run these pressures,I’ve always thought 36f 42r is too much on my 2011 ride seems choppy, fine when hard on gas slower speeds not good but not unsafe.

I've run those pressures on most of my sports bikes mate 32f, 36r :cool:
If you're going to take it round a track then take a couple of psi out of each ;);)
To my mind 36,42 is way too solid especially as it will increase as your tyre warms up :):)

Hi chuk to give you an update was out yesterday with some friends I ran 40 psi back and 35 psi front spirited riding in sport mode on a 2018 speed triple rs the bike behaved perfectly so that’s what I will be running in future
