fitted a pyramid plastics "ductail" in c/f on the numberplate today.
Not going to use it in normal use as its only for the possible rain on the NC500 in late aug....
Used screws instead of the tape so it'll just remove easily.
Dry run with the tent fitting and stuff in the topbox!
    Ready to rock and roll/ache!!!

Make sure you’ve got good waterproofs with you. Me and the wife got absolutely soaked to the skin a few weeks ago up there.
Bloody B*W gear, waterproof my arse! :p

I worked 9 til 5 today... worked at riding to and around the Peak District that is :grinning: Though I ought to make the most of the good weather as it looks like we won't be having any for a while. Included a couple of stops at The Old Smithy in Monyash for refreshments :)

I never made it out yesterday. But today started at 08:15hs. Up till now been over to Chester, Ponderosa, Llangollen and Whitchurch. Just stopped for a cuppa in Broxton before I head for home. Cracking morning for riding, nice and cool and dry roads....

Well, I was (perhaps delibirately?) misinformed. It was the stator after all, and I was charged €945 for it installed. Not happy, and they will never see me again. On worldoftriumph, which I think sells genuine (OEM?) parts, the same item was €488 inc. Vat. I was charged € 688! Ex. ! Vat. Also, They never gave me an option to have a non Triumph part fitted. After confronting them all I got was "we just order from the factory". Feckers.

Absolutely. And having reflected on this after having done my (belated, admittedly) research, I will go back and give them my opinion on this. In person, not from behind a keyboard. Well pissed off.

Well, in fact they charged me 1,25 hours. And the mechanic was brilliant. He checked all manner of things he needn't have, topped off my oil, installed dummy bolts where my mirrors used to be and adjusted my suspension. And he did not write any of that up. Thing is, there was no communication at all about the particular part and the price of it. I was lead to believe it was the rotor, and that was that. So the mechanic was ace, but management sucks... sounds like politics doesn't it?

Fitted my new Panniers. The first thing my wife said was where do you store ur Lid? Damn.

As the bike is now officially wider than a bus I can’t get it in the garage anymore without a) removing a pannier or b) opening both doors.

Today I’ve changed the oil in the forks of my Daytona......again.
I recently gave them a service and put new 10W oil as per the Triumph specs (no idea what was in them before) but after riding them for a while I’ve found them to be far too over damped.
Even with minimum compression damping they’ve been too firm, so I’ve changed the oil to 5W.
Now I’ve just got to wait for a bit of dry time to give them a try. :grinning: Hopefully my fillings will have a bit of an easier time now. :p

Got home from work, quick shower then me and the Speedy took a 60 mile round trip to a new to me bike meet in a village named Huish Episcopi in Somerset, well attended and some interesting bikes there. IMG_20190731_184903.jpg
