A Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 - yes, I know it's not on your list, but it should be. Don't worry about the specs, ride the bike. You'll be surprised !!!
Don't think Triumph Ducati sell those ! But the only bike dealer in the South of Scotland, does. Keep meaning to go look see.
Push the boat out Ron and get a Multistrada under your arse. A sports bike with luggage and sounds to go with it!!
Bloody hell in 5 years there will be another load of new bikes to add to the current crop of bikes that you will be able to ride.....
Maybe, just maybe ride the saleswomen that seem to be quite prevelant at modern shops. Can't answer much ?. Butt.
One of the boys had a multistrada, when the new one came out, nothing but trouble, electronics and oil leaks !!! Another with some top spec 1098, bit kept loosening all the time Mirrors, etc would just be loose every time he started it, tried loctiting stuff, but other stuff just came loose Street Twin is winning at the moment.
I would like, to take this opportunity to thank all those would buy bikes new, almost break them in, and then allow me to buy them cheaper, and ride able from the off, but Im not going to
That's exactly how I got my 2017 H-D Road Glide Special. It had 830 miles on it. Break-in on those is considered 500 miles. And the dealership did the 1K service on it before putting it on the showroom floor. As for my previous bikes, I was the one who broke them in for the benefit of others. The mileage on the bikes I traded was a lot higher than 800, though. It blows me away how many used bikes I see with mileage that is incredibly low, even as low at 70-80 miles. I always want to know the story behind that. "You brought home WHAT and put it in the garage?! Take that back right now!" Or (thought bubble)--"Hmmm, I idea of riding a motorcycle down the open road, wind in my hair and bugs in my teeth sounded so romantic. But this scares the shite outta me!" (said the mid-life crisis, didn't do the safety class, short-term owner).
