Good plan, cheers. Import as well so don't know how this affects the records as well it was a previous write off abroad?
Will try again on the phone but has responded to message with:

"Hi the bike runs perfect no problem with the engine, only with the speedometer but I have spare so can be replaced, rear master will need replacing it still works but better to replace it, and don’t show the fuel meter, 1 fork seal gone still can ride in it"

I have the Reg so will check

Will do. This is beginning to get a bit smelly for my liking!

    I have a 2001 Fazer 600 FZS600 (Gold) which I use for winter/rain etc
Do check the headlights as these are very poor quality, the reflective coating is painted on and flakes off
The lights are poor to start with and there are several upgrade options on YouTube including 2.5" Xenon lights but they take a bit of work to put in.

Very easy bikes to ride, comfy suspension with its long travel helps to eat up the miles
170 miles on one tank if taking it easy
Brakes are fantastic once upgraded with Hel braided hoses
Mine starts and runs reliably with around 50k miles on it
I use Redex in the tank to keep the fuel lines and carburettors clean

It can be a bit sluggish under 6,000 rpm but once you hit 7,000rpm with an open throttle the beast leaps forward

He's looking at £1000 minimum, no service history though.

It does look very nice. Never know how ebay works with normal listings. I'd think if I put on the offer subject to inspection then you're covered?

Update: £925 on the table so will see how that goes. Have stated subject to verification inspection.

@TEZ 217 Are you around tomorrow at all mate if you'd be so kind as to help out. Obviously cover costs for you

Did you have a look at the one I found? Only concern is the high mileage. I've said I can go to £1400 but he wants £1550 which I'm sure you'll agree there is better value elsewhere (as the above you found)

Yer I thought it'd be only decent enough of me to ask personally. Sounds like he's having fun and games with the builders.

    Have sent @dilligaf a message.

I live near Wellingborough, but I'm up in Scotland until the 6th of August and then head off on the 7th to the Ardennes for a week, so can't really do anything until the 14th at the earliest. I'll also be at Santa Pod on the 16th, 17th and 18th racing at the Greenlight Nationals which is rounds 4 and 5 of this year's championship.
I've then got a couple of weeks off before I go back to work.

I know - it's a tough life, but we all have to sacrifice work for play sometimes!!!

Remember your looking for an old bike to put miles on. If the tanks dented it takes money off you can spend on service.
In theory, something like 2/3 of the cash on the bike, that leaves 1/3 to get it up to scratch.
And dont do what I did and make it so nice you dont want to get it dirty.

I did EXACTLY that earlier this year with a Honda VTR (V-twin for the Triumph boys;)). Was supposed to be a 'runabout' but ended up doing next to no miles.

I've got very twitchy about my new Striple already and said to the Mrs it's raining next week I need the winter hack NOW (photos to follow by the way Picr has been down every time I've tried to host the photos)

I've picked the 765 apart already. Don't like the mirrors or the none anodised brake fluid reservoirs (my 675 had loads of extras when I bought it)

I'll get the hack and leave it for sure and lavish the 765

I've put a 12 hour offer at £925 so good chance will be rejected but agree on the relisting. Be a bit of trek to get up to Durham to collect but the Mrs can be bribed to drop me off

Neighbour has come across with this in the local paper. My dog decided the chew the paper he brought over  so found it online

Read the Thundercat is a fair commuter if not a bit of a beast weight wise. Will obviously see how plan A above pans out

For a 7,000 miler that seems a good prospect. (Will concede I'm no authority on Yamaha though)
