I decided to get the Triumph Thruxton fly screen fitted to my speed twin when it went in for it 500 mile service yesterday. It keeps all the dead flies and crud off the back of the clocks and stops glare so I can read the LCD parts on the clock with ease now.
The cost of parts for the first service was lower than I expected, about £60 and the dealer fitted my screen without labour a charge too, great service.
My next mod might be the seat, I like the look of quilted triumph seat, but not sure I want to pay £250. I just missed out on one on Ebay at £199, so may wait and keep looking. I was hoping my dealer would offer me a good discount, but sadly not!
Now it has had its 500 mile service, I tried sport mode and wow, what a difference. I really love this bike, it’s great to ride and looks the mutts nuts!

I bought the brown leather seat on line from Blade Motorcycles (Triumph Dealer) for £199. Nice and comfy. Saw a few around at £229 though. Worth a look.

Is it much better than the stock seat for comfort? At £199, I’d be tempted if it is better as it looks good too over stock.

I've just finished 1200 miles in France on it and I was fine even on the boring autoroute. I'm not a light person and quite tall but I did one day, 5 hours with only fuel stops and it was fine. Much better than the stock seat from my perspective which I found a little uncomfortable after a few hours. Mrs found the seat much comfier on her short trips out on it too.
