Hello! My name is Richard. I'm currently looking to buy a Triumph Bonneville. Still quite new to the Triumph scene, and am having little concerns here and there that I hope someone here can shed some light on. First off, the Bonneville I'm looking at which is gorgeous... seems to be a 2013 Bonneville. Not a t100. Which I was confused by as I didn't know there was just a 'Bonneville'. And after a bit of snooping around online I can't seem to find much information on it, and saw somewhere that it was discontinued. Does that mean parts would be unavailable if I needed them? And as for the body, headlight, frame etc etc. Could I use parts from the t100? Are the dimensions of the bike the same? Any thoughts and replies would be amazing. Thank you! -Richard

Welcome aboard. What you have there is a Bonneville SE. It differs from the others in having 17” wheels and tubeless tyres. It shares almost all of its major parts with other Bonnevilles. It is a discontinued model being an 865cc air cooled engine rather than the later 900/1200 water cooled models. Parts are readily available. Go to https://www.triumphtwinpower.com/triumphbonnevillespecs.php and scroll through the specifications to see all of the variations in the model range.

Thank you Freck, I will most likely go for it! I've just sold my Kawasaki ZZR400 to buffer the cost of this bad boy. Thankfully I still have my ol' Eliminator 250 if this falls through~
Hi and welcome to the forum. All of the 865 were air cooled, the later 1200 Bonnie's are water cooled. To get through ever increasing emissions laws, bikes have to go to water cooling, as the clearence needed to allow for greater expansion on air-cooled engines, means it is difficult to get within the new guidelines. Air-cooled will soon be a thing of the past. Still damn good bikes the 865 Bonnie's.
