I was wondering when it would happen...64 pages and finally a thread derailment It's gotta be a record though, most threads last just three posts Unless you consider plants as pets
So glad to read that Fizzy is home and doing well, Tiglet! Hopefully her Thursday morning post op checkup will be good. She's a beautiful girl. I'm thinking of you and know firsthand how hard it is when our furry friends are ill or have injuries or surgery. Our boxer, Annie, had major leg surgery in May. She's doing well but it's a long, slow, and arduous healing process. Dogs are truly amazing and it's a testament to their spirit that they continue to be stoic and loyal and loving in the face of being afraid or in pain. And they really seem to understand that we're trying to help them. And not least of all, they always forgive us. I hope Fizzy continues to mend fully and quickly!
I'm so glad she's recovering. Its a major operation.. One of our previous Springers, Dolly, had a full mammary strip due to tumours as well. She was a very sorry sight when she came home, but such a rapid recovery. The vets in Thurso did remarkable work with her (Thanks Guy!) Did you know for blood transfusions on dogs, it doesn't matter what dogs blood they use, and one of the most prolific donors are Greyhounds? And finally, it looks like somebody has settled in well, dontcha think?
Aawww shucks, thanks or did you mean Tia? She is though, isn't she she's been with us for two weeks now, hair is growing back on her bald bits, her sores are all healed, and her coat is getting a nice gloss on it. We've found she's intolerant to ordinary dog biscuits and treats, they really scour her out, so dog food for sensitive stomachs is what she's having now. It seems to suit her quite the thing. She's such a wee sook too, always hopping up on Mrs BS's knee for cuddles.
Big Sandy, glad Tia is doing great! She is a cutie-patootie. Our Annie developed some weird food allergy a couple of years back that caused her to throw up fairly regularly (. After finally figuring out what it most likely was (long chain protein allergy), our vet recommended Hill's Prescription Diet food and treats. We order online from chewy.com and they deliver right to our door. You can set it up as autoship too. Annie loves both the kibble and the treats and she's never barfed up her dinner once since the switch. Thankfully! Here are photos of what we feed her now.

That's made my day, I get really annoyed when animals are treated badly, I couldn't hurt an animal but I could destroy the bastids who do hurt them.
I hope your little buddy heals up super fast, Ron. It's so hard when our best friends are hurting. He is super-duper cute! Even with the eye infection.
