Tail Tidy Or Stock Tail

Folks, I've installed a tail tidy and its fine other than I get super dirty and I'm not entirely convinced on the looks.

Stock. it's not hideous like some & if it keeps the muck off more why change?

Stock I think, with a Lucas type rear light unit with smaller, more appealing indicators, as per Squaredeals.
I'll get one once I can launder the cash from the housekeeping budget!

I'm with the others and think stock looks better on your model with that seat. But as Bad Billy said, "it is your bike".

I have a tail tidy on my Speed Triple and like it better than stock but it's a pain in the butt to clean up if I get caught in the rain or ride through some mud. So that's a definite plus for stock.

So......what DO you think, Repooh?

However, I’m going to modify stock and bring plate up 4-5 inches, seen a chap on Youtube do likewise

I recon I can balls this up easily, been looking for an excuse to buy a Dremel

Tail tidy with mudguard...



I wasn't quite happy with the tail tidy only, so I got a polished mudguard and modified the tail tidy to suit. Wasn't difficult even with my limited mechanical abilities. This way I still have the original parts unaltered if I ever sell or decide to go back stock.

 

Must admit, on that style of bike the stock looks better.

Tail tidy is so minimalistic and clean (looking) there's far too many traditionalists (old farts) on here

I must agree though, a bike with a tail tidy gets plastered with crap although at least if you carry a passenger you personally stay clean

So my cunning plan may be scuppered the mod puts the number plate up against the mudguard between the indicators a standard plate wont fit, small plate does, I have 7x5.25

So when it comes to MOT in two years (I may not own it then as I'll likely buy another new one) it will fail as the plate is out of standard
