Anyone know if Triumph has a remap available to cure the lurching problem?

    Hi Dale
Not as far as I know but I must say that slight lurch on my 2016 T120 was sorted by a Booster Plug. I’m more than happy with how it runs. All the best.

Thank you. I know it's been covered before but could you explain what a booster plug does? Is it a layman's garage install? Does it require a remap? Cost?
The lurch is tolerable but it's there & every bike has a quirk or like the mole on what's her name ex super model?

It’s dead easy to fit, took me 5 minutes. No retune required. There is good video of installation and review on the Stuart Fillingham you tube channel. Mine cost me £120 if I remember rightly. Description of how it works can be found on the website.

How much would you be prepared to spend on curing the problem?
My 2017 Thruxton R had other issues (stalling) and not a great throttle/fuelling profile. Euro 4 imposes tough targets for these (earlier) engines. A power commander and custom map yielded a beautifully 'elastic' throttle, perfect fuelling and a fat extra wedge of torque just where it's useful most of the time. I think there's no reason why the T120 wouldn't also respond positively to the same treatment.

This is no slight against the booster plug; as far as my problems went it didn't help when I tried one for a while. They're advertised as being a fix for the well documented stalling problems associated with the engine implementation in the Thruxton R but it doesn't work every time for this.

It would be done on a rolling road so your own engine is optimised. Alternatively, Norman Hyde sell kits which include a map pre-loaded on the Power Commanders. They loaned bikes to Dynojet who developed maps and supply the units ready to install. I bought a kit for my T100, I've been thoroughly pleased with it. Have a look here for interest:https://normanhyde.co.uk/hinckley-triumph/bonneville-t120-2016.html?hinckely_categories=3

Thanks guys I appreciate the info. I'll ponder while I ride the next 9 days & see if it's annoying enough to address.
Heading up thru Nevada, Wyoming, N. Dakota into Manitoba, Saskatchewan, back home to Reno through Montana. That'll give me all 50 states & Canada west of Quebec.
    Took awhile.

I have the booster plug and it works well on my machine.
I have k&n filter and decat, with remus pipes. The booster plug does cope well. Ulimatly a remap would be the best option.
