Hi all , Here's my T595, it's in a bit of a sorry state i'm afraid , one of the clutch gears threw a tooth and jammed up in some other bit of gear wheel trickery ,i took it all apart and then took it all apart some more... then moved house. So not much progress in the last few years. just gathering all the bits back together , ready for rebuild … enjoy my fumblings with the spanners :)

Look forward to seeing your progress on the rebuild. :grinning:
I’ve had my Daytona 955 to bits quite a bit to sort out the bodges of the previous owners, but she’s up and running and back on the road again. :grinning:

hiya Freck, don't mean to be rude and hi-jack your post , but i saw Daytona 995 and in bits, and had to ask about those quick release connector things on the fuel tank I've heard that they snap easily have you found that so as I need to take the tank off mine . Thanks Ian. .

Hi Ian, if you’ve still got the plastic ones then yes they will break eventually.
The metal ones you want are 1/4 BSPT fittings made by CPC, I got mine from Tom Parker in Preston.

hi frek, my connectors came out ok , just squeeze the metal clip inwards and it should pop out ok when you pull it. But I had trouble when I was refitting them once as I didn't squeeze the metal clip in enough and as I pushed the connector back in to the tank it shaved a slice off the clip O ring , which didn't come to light until I put it all back together and filled it with petrol … then drip drip drip … took me a while to track it down

Yep, it’s very common to nick the O rings when connecting the hoses back up.
I always keep some spares handy. ;)

Plus cleaned up some of the handlebar gubbins. The right hand clip on was slightly bent so she must have been sideways at some point in her life .. wasn't too bad though and straightened out OK

Just got the frame back from the powder coaters (Tresten"s in southampton) I decided to do it in gold and they've done an excellent job.

Needed another radiator as mine had a hole in it. Managed to find one where the fan blades weren't too melted. (Can you get after market fans which are more heat resistant?) It cleaned up quite nicely. Incidentally I noticed it had KTM stamped on it. Did Triumph source them from KTM ?

Mine is a KTM part too. I doubt Triumph would fit a part marked with another bike manufacturer’s name on so I’m guessing mines been changed and the KTM part was cheaper. : unamused:
