Tonight I took the pillion pegs off my Daytona and made a new exhaust hanger out of an old pillion peg hanger, as I couldn’t find anywhere who sold one.

Not a good day for the Bonny today. We both took a little ride through an immovable object.:( Suprised there was not more damage done to me or the bike.

Yeah not to bad. Couple of broken toes and two cracked ribs. The road narrows right there but still plenty of room for two cars to pass in either direction. Guy in front of me in a small Nissan jumped on his brakes and decided to stop. I could not go anywhere because of the car coming the other way. I had to hit the brakes and went sideways. Went through a row of concrete bollards without hitting one and through that wall. The police have my bike cam so it will be interesting to see when I get it back. Trouble is I am off to Norway next week and I am a wee bit sore:( Lucky really.

I doubt it could even get charged with driving without due care etc etc.

Yeah I’d tend to agree, it’s often the person behind who gets the blame for driving too close to be able to stop in time. Let’s hope your cam footage helps.

Good point. The wide angle lens makes things seem closer...

Thanks mate, just wish I’d have had some paint to match the frame, but it doesn’t look too bad in satin black I guess.

Good news you survived this. I would be looking to buy the salvage and build something special.

Rebuilt the front calipers, and cleaned the disc bobbins, the brakes are now spot on.
Ordered a new tyre for the rear, ( Michelin Road Pilot 4 ) and painted the repaired ( after it snapped) R and G tail tidy.

Went out for a great ride today, headed to Salisbury, on to Ringwood then stopped into Three cross motorcycles hoping to take a Speedy RS out for a test ride, sadly a guy was just taking it out, too hot to hang around in leathers so headed to Compton Abbas airfield via Blandford for a slice of cake and a cold drink, after a chat to a couple of older bikers in the carpark I headed to Warminster to drop in on my Sis, then home the long way, just under 130 miles

Had a ride out to Squires cafe in that there Yorkshire today with some other members from the NW HTOC.
They were having a meet up with the Yorkshire branch members, and it was my first ride out with the club.

Met some nice people, looked at some bikes and even had an ice cream :p
A nice, steady ride there and back, but by ‘eck it was a warm one. Thankfully the Daytona behaved herself and didn’t overheat, just dumped the heat in my nether regions. :sob:
