Taken by my 'Crew chief for a day' Jimmy Applegate on his phone - a bit of slow motion action of me burning out prior to a qualifying run at Santa Pod.
I'd hoped to find some rearsets that were a straight forward fit, but alas this was not quite the case. In this video I show some of the issues that you may have with fitting the Triumph Daytona 675 rearsets onto the Triumph Street Triple 765R
So tempted to order a set of these for my RS - I have an SP Engineering exhaust fitted, and the strap on that will allow for fitment with these rearsets. Do I or don't I.....? Got the first intermediate service in the coming weeks, road tax, and renewal of the Triumph breakdown due this month Might have to come back in July/August to see if they're still on offer then.
When renewing insurance, 'if' you declare rearsets as a modification your premium will likely increase. Insurers will see them as a performance mod as it is associated with modding the bike to go faster. I could be wrong but I did question my insurers over this as I was thinking of it and he straight up said the premium would increase
Fortunately, although my 765 is my most expensive new bike, my Moto Guzzi is my most expensive/high risk bike so am already paying an increased premium for a rather modified bike!
I've just added a short term review to my YouTube channel as I approach my first 500 miles. If you're having a quiet day, you can see it here or below
Didn't use my cameras when doing the Scotland trip this year, but I did the Oban Loop a few weeks earlier, here's Tyndrum to Oban
Oh, thanks. When I’m riding I have a mic wired up inside my helmet; for the walk around I hooked up an external mile to my phone and just clipped it to my jacket.
Played around with mounting the Drift camera on the crash helmet for the first time yesterday. It needs to be angled up a bit more and the original video is obviously a fair bit sharper than the Youtube one but it seems to work quite well.
I fitted my Drift onto the handlebars of my BMW. Don’t like the idea of it on my helmet It just clips in easily and I can plug it into the USB for charging on the go.
