Yes mate picked it up 2 days ago, will post some pics soon Just waiting for the exhaust and ohlins to arrive Booked in for 1st service on 29th ready to take to the IOM T T on June 1st So far I have to say its been a pleasure to ride, done around 150 miles, weather not exactly great
Crispey, yes it was meant to have tail tidy but it hadn't arrive at 8 ball in time and I wasn't waiting another 2 weeks for the bike. Soon as it arrives it will be fitted, the rear end is crap in standard form
D and D exhausts and ohlins rear shocks now getting cleared at customs (bought online from Newbonnevile.com) hope to have them fitted asap before I take it to the TT Also have to purchase mapping, air filter and so on!! can't wait
so the list goes on!! MUST HAVE: TTP Map No 4, DNA Air Filter, O2 removal kit and SAI removal kit (another bloody £300!!) WANT: Led after market indicators f/r (micro), remove front cowl (prefer naked look) smaller headlamp (5 3/4" with halo ring) skid plate (black) and British Customs Cafe Racer seat (lush) Might have to sell a bike or a kidney!!
crispey, its the same as owning Ducatis', endless money pits through modification.... the stuff listed on the NEEDS is ordered, if i can get everything sorted I will post pics the rest of the stuff will need to wait!!!!!
i hope so half ton, the claims are substantial only hope they are accurate figures.... praying its all fitted and ready for pick up Friday
thats good to hear half ton, to be honest there is nothing really wrong with how it is from stock the issue I have is that I come from and still have a superbike and a race bike that I use for amateur racing. Although I want the change on the road (to keep my licence and stay alive!) I think I may get a bit bored of the thruxton with stock power/performance hence the upgrades. I will post pics and report back on her before/during/after 2 weeks at the IOM TT If I don't have fun on her there then you will see her in the for sale section ha ha ha
Blimey, they are shortys, not surprised they're noisy. Look the biz tho'! Get rid of that tail end and you'll have a really good looking bike there.
Yeah tail tidy was supposed to be fitted but the wizards who sent it to Youles didn't put brackets in for the indicators!!! Or maybe youles could have checked the contents in the week knowing it would be fitted Friday, any deficiencies could have been spotted and sorted prior to me turning up for the 1st service,,,,,or would that just be someone having their shit together more than I could expect Anyway I am now waiting on the brackets and will fit tail tidy myself asap Only hope they are straight forward
