Hey all - painting some shocks that were corroded and chrome wasn't salvageable. I initially planned to use VHT epoxy paint but it's pretty hard to get in Canada.

What's the best paint to use for this? Primer? I assume something special is needed for the flex.

Also, is there some method to colour match the eom paint? I'd like to get the shocks to go well with the paint scheme.

    cheers!

Putting any paint over chrome is going to be a problem as it will eventually loose adhesion, any paint will be OK on them they dont flex enough to cause problems otherwise they wouldn't chrome them, i would get them powder coated that way they will sand blast the chrome first giving a key.

Shocks are already apart and sandblasted... Didn't realize that just about any paint will do!
