Hello, I just took my Scrambler 1200 to service and for some reason the CRUISE CONTROL is not working. I know there are some specific steps to activate it, like Turn ignition on, press brake etc....does anyone knows how to do it.?....thanks a lot in advance
Should be 2 presses of the button to hold a speed first time then just press once think its over 20mph. there have been some that have needed a software update from what I have been hearing. If it doesn`t work take back to shop you might even need new buttons.
Thank thank you my friend...I used before and it was working fine, what I need is to activate it so I can use it....thank you
Never heard the need to activate it, as was said, one press of the button turns it on, the second press sets the speed. You normally have to be in 3rd gear (I think) and travelling faster than 20 mph for it to work. If it worked before then I would go back to the Stealer and tell him to sort out whatever he did to stop it working.
The cruise control is installed, but inactivated for some reason, the dealer told me there are some easy steps to active it again, buy they have to ask to the factory...thank you
Yes, I fixed. 1) turn ignition on 2)press front brake and release. 3)press rear brake and release. 4)press clutch and release. 5)turn accelerator all the way to the front ( not like accelerating, but to the other side, this is use to cancel the cruise control when is on 6) press once the cruise control bottom on your left...and you’re ready. Wish you luck
Sadly, this didn't work for me. Maybe I pressed the levers too fast or too slowly, or maybe it is broken. Thank you anyways! You were very helpful!
Yes I did, and I tried to leave it in "upmost" position while pressing the cruise control, as well as letting it go before pressing the CC. Should there be some indication that the reset happened? Any light at all? Thank you for your help!
Hello all, Just had the same issue. I used the reset sequence above and it worked first time. For those having problems, I noticed a small amount of play when I forced the throttle closed, so I clearly isn’t just a case of letting the throttle off, you need to twist it closed with a little bit of force. Gary.
Awesome, I've just had my first service and the same thing happened. But this help me out big time. Thanks.
