Hi there. After 13 years with my 2006 T100 I traded in for one of the last Street Cups. Sorry to see the T100 go but very happy with my new pride and joy. I absolutely don’t want to spoil the ‘cafe racer’ Thruxton look but a black rack would be very useful. Has anyone had experience of fitting a rack that fits the available mounting points? I’m new to the forum so hoping to get some informed advice. Many thanks.

Good morning and welcome in. May I suggest you have a look at an Alt Rider rack. I replaced the stock rack on my 06 Scrambler with one and couldn't be more pleased with it. The stock rack, the pretty shiny chrome one, was useless to me. most modern bags come with the basic flat straps that did not hold well to the round, slick chrome. The alt rack has slats and fits very well. Just my 2 cents! If you do check this out, be sure to look at the price difference in the available colors. One is priced very much more than the other.

Hi Big Sandy...thanks for the advice. I contacted George at the bike parts and he offered their larger black rack which apparently fits out of the packet...however it’s too large! Their sports rack would be better but requires a bit of work with a hacksaw (see pic) to make it Street cup friendly. They are back in stock in August.

Thanks all for you welcomes. t27hct; SW London

    Hi there.
Concluding my question thread re: a rack for my Street Cup...I went for the Givi rack designed for the Street Twin. Just like the Triumph Street Twin rack, it fits perfectly on the Street Cup if you remove the rear two rubber bungs from the seat. I don’t think it detracts from the look of the bike... too much!

Not for me, think it spoils the cafe racer look for me. However I can see it will be useful, doesn’t matter what I think at the end of the day....

I went down the route of a Triumph rack and s/h street twin seat. Can just fit this on in a few minutes when I go on a camping trip.

I fitted the TEC rack to my Street Twin. The first time I wrapped a bungee round it (just the elastic stretch, not the hooks) it rubbed the paint off. If you buy one make sure you first add a few layers of hard wearing paint. TEC parts are cheap for a reason.

The finish on the Triumph rack looks top notch, but I have added some covering to areas that I know I am going to attach straps etc. Think this may be a bit OCD for a second hand rack :).

I have found the same with the TEC parts, whilst they are functional the final finish is not that good.
