Being an old codger I am not familiar with all the latest tech ie; traction control, autoblipper etc. Hired an RS for Anglesey trackday and what a machine!
Brilliant engine, faultless handling and when you wind it up it flies. The quickshifter was great but the autoblipper downshift I didn't like - talk about clunky. Is it something you just get used to or was I doing something wrong eg; mistiming closing throttle and pedal dabbing?
The TC gets you out of trouble though - few times back end slid out under power but no drama it just popped back again and keep the throttle pinned

Came away well impressed with the triple engine - enough horsepower for me anyway.

Assume you mean a 765RS as I don't think a 675 version exists? I agree they are awesome machines, even if you're really hamfisted on the brakes or gas they just sort it out for you.
But unless an aftermarket one has been added they didn't come with an auto blipper for down shifting, might explain the clunky downshift?

I have ridden other bikes with auto blippers, and throttle has to be closed from memory coz if you try and blip as well it confuses the system.

Never been to Anglesey, but I have heard it's a good track, will be racing there Aug 10th & 11th so I guess I'll be finding out.

    Sorry, 765!
I was definitely told it had autoblipper - it is an ex Cup bike so maybe they added for the series?
You will love Ty Croes - I remember riding the very first race there on the original circuit - they have done a fantastic job on the new circuit. Technical bits, camber changes, blind corners, long fast sweeping 'straight' and plenty of grip
    Have a good day!

It’s a great circuit now far better than the old one, not that there was much wrong with the old one

Just had a quick look at the regs for the 765 Cup class & auto blippers are allowed, generally if they are then people fit them, maybe it was just in need of some adjustment?
Sorry to be nosy but who were the organisers, and what did they charge for the day including the bike hire? Wouldn't mind a go on one in cup trim myself .... just in case my numbers come up & I could afford to race one!
