The connection at the tank has been known to be a bit quirky sometimes in that if it’s not pushed fully home then you won’t get full pressure. Could also be that the valve in the tank connector has got fouled up if it’s been stood for a long time
Yes the rail is a pressurised reservoir and the injectors are simple open or shut valves. The opening period will be milliseconds so the pressure is just sat waiting to release as a spray jet into the cylinders. Do you know anyone with an ultrasonic bath?
