Had the new Speed Twin in for its 1st service today (500 miles) all good so far, so that's me sorted for a year now! Dealer was good enough to let take out their demo Speed Triple for a couple of hours, and got to say was well impressed with it, my other bike is an Aprilia Tuono V4RR and didn't think any other naked would come close to matching it, so this gave me a great opportunity to compare the two, and I have to say its just about up there with the Tuono, found it really smooth and handles beautifully, maybe slightly down in respect of outright power, but not so much as you'd really care, all in all I thought it was a cracker of a bike though!!!
It's a nice feeling getting that 500 mile service out of the way. Just need to finish off the running in and you are good to go. I had a 955 Speed Triple which was really nice. I guess the modern ones are a big step up but still surprised you found it more or less as good as the Tuono V4.
Hi TonyG, yes over 600 miles on the clock now so not long till she's totally run in and can test her fully out Yes I thought the Triple was a really nice bike to ride, not quite at the Tuono's level but certainly not too far off, Tuono's better looking as well
