Featured What you been doing with your TRIUMPH today??

Being such fantastic weather I took tigger to work today. A 120 mile trip each way. Probably a bit more as I took the scenic route.

Anyway, in Gloucester I was negotiating a roundabout over a main dual carriageway when I saw a beautiful old model Street Triple parked up on the flyover with its owner hovering about.

I pulled over to make sure they were both ok. Got to meet a really interesting chap. He has five bike of various marks. Two Triumphs.

The street Triple had a fantastic custom paint job. The other sounded to be just immaculate. He was waiting for his riding group to arrive and had been out to Abergavenny yesterday.

Nice to randomly meet such nice people.

That’s biking for you.

 

Did a packing dress rehearsal for a camping tour of Scotland starting in a couple of days. Need to do some last minute shopping for longer bungees and a hip flask.

 

Is that how the arm was mangled then Half ton?

 

Cheers for that mate. I did not notice what bike yesterday as more interested to see how he strapped himself to the bike.

 

I did the chain today on the Bonnie. With only 1500kms on the clock I seem to have to adjust quite often. It’s probably the jerky fueling and the fact the chain is made of elastic.

The chain on my VStrom stays adjusted for ages. I think I’ve done it a couple of times in 6000kms

 

Nothing to do with the wheelies then!

I was looking at the guard and looked up a pic of original view with cat and know which I prefer.

Simples. They haven't got little goatee beards. That's what gives it away, it's not real.

 

I think I dropped on with the weather and very little traffic

 

I've never had traffic there - or rain come to think of it. Does look you had a brilliant day though!

 

Wasn't a bad day either (pre Triumph days, I'm afraid..)

 

MOTD the speedy got an advisory on the exhaust excessively noisy,road legal scorpions but now the front brake micro switch is only working sometimes,ordered new one at triumph Glasgow so just waiting on part,did notice the assembly that the rear Indy’s bolt to is rusty so either clean and paint on bike or maybe need to remove it tommorow,not bothered about the aftermarket tail tidy ones just clean stock one up did see a nice 17 plate DCT Africa twin in showroom amongst lots of nice trumpets.

 

She looks very nice Jez.
