1AE0D928-6749-48E8-8F5C-9664159CC48F.jpeg Gorgeous weather this morning, so I thought I’d show you a very modern city, Almere. Almere is one of the biggest cities in the Netherlands and only dates back to the 70’s.
It’s the perfect destination to use BabyScoot (alias Yamaha Neos 50cc). A bit of sightseeing and then shopping

Our fietspad (cycle tracks) are generally kept in good condition as you can see
Below is building which was going to be a hotel built like a French chateaux. Sadly the owners ran out of cash and it’s sat like this for 20 years.

    The cycle path continues

1 bag under the seat, 1 bag in the top box and 1 bag on the shopping hook. When the weather is nice I much prefer to take BabyScoot to the shops rather than get the car out.

Yes Dougie. My bike has a blue number plate meaning I don’t need to wear a crash helmet and the bike is restricted (supposedly) to 25kms per hour. There are other mopeds with a yellow number plate which are restricted to 45kms per hour and crash helmets are required.
A lot of people mainly youths remove the limiters off the bikes but if they get stopped by the cops they are in big trouble. In some cities bikes with yellow number plates must use the road and not the cycle tracks.

I actually am quite happy pottering along the cycle tracks, sometimes it’s just very pleasant going slow

    Hi Nikki

Do you happen to know anything about pollution restrictions in Antwerp? Having looked around the net I’m assuming motorcycles are exempt from charge but can’t find anything that states that clearly.

    Cheers

Rule of thumb is that pre-2006 diesels and pre-1992 petrol cars are not allowed into the city centre. You'll be fine with a motorcycle.
