Hi guys, I am looking to pick up a triumph speedmaster 2009, and want to know if there is anything i should be lookin for. It has got a different seat and exhausts but is being supplied with the originals, but what should i keep in mind and check for specifically. First bike im buying as usually i get hand me downs from father so any auggestions would be great Luke
Hi mate and welcome 09 Speedmaster was my last bike before trading it in for a 2018 Speedmaster Had my 09 for two years and never had a problem with it except for self inflicted ones because I was always doing things to it Certainly not the best handling bike I’ve ever had but as long as you’re not expecting sports bike handling it’s a fine bike Fuel tank is good for nigh on 200mls Engine and gearbox are very nice and strong If it’s still got the Metzeler tyres fitted then budget to get them changed cos they’re CRAP Avon’s are a recommended replacement and totally transformed my bike for the better Get ready to spend lots of money and time customising it because it’s addictive
