    Hi all,

New to the site, and here to say hello.
Been into bikes for 40 odd years, but not so much for the last few as been too sore to ride until recently. I'm now post hip replacement at 8 weeks, without pain and thought it time to get one of our four old bikes out of the shed to see if she'd fire up. The wife's Honda CB 500 had sat unused for 7 years. Still had air in the tyres and I did drain the fuel from the tank and carbs prior to storage. Bit of an effort to swing the leg over but got her fired up on the charged 8 year old battery and rode around the garden for half an hour. Very nearly fell off getting a little enthusiastic on loose dirt but otherwise bloody excellent! Three more to go including my old 97 T595 and a 98 Thunderbird sport 900.

Welcome to the Family. You know we will want pictures of the said steeds. One little point I would remind you of. Those tyres if eight years of sitting check them well as I am sure their road holding may have suffered a bit. Nice to hear you are well enough to join us all again here in the mad house.
    Ride Safe & Enjoy

Will see what I can do later. I’ll have to dig them out as they’ve sat in my workshop behind an awful lot of other stuff.

The Triumphs look more like barn finds at the moment
